Joplin's Zahradnik and Texarkana’s Kelley Take Home Weekly Honors
The Mid-America League is proud to announce its Players of the Week, recognizing standout performances from the mound and the plate. This week’s honors go to Ty Zahradnik of the Joplin Outlaws and Jay Kelley of the Texarkana Rhinos.
Pitcher of the Week: Ty Zahradnik

Hometown: Keller, TX
College: UT-Arlington
Hailing from Keller, TX, Ty Zahradnik was lights out in his most recent outing. Zahradnik threw a dominant 7 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 9 and walking only 2. He picked up the win and finished the week with a sharp 1.29 ERA, helping lead the Outlaws to another strong showing on the hill.
Hitter of the Week: Jay Kelley
Team: Texarkana Rhinos
Hometown: Dallas, TX
At the plate, Dallas native Jay Kelley delivered an offensive clinic for Texarkana, batting an impressive .500 on the week with 12 hits, 7 runs scored, and 9 RBIs. Kelley added 3 doubles and posted a strong 1.100 OPS, providing a consistent spark to the Rhinos’ lineup and proving to be a tough out for opposing pitchers.
